From Air Transat Blog – 23 March 2020

Since we announced the gradual suspension of our flights on March 18, we have been working hard to coordinate our operations in response to this unprecedented situation. As a result, we have already brought back nearly 40,000 of the 65,000 customers who were abroad.

Our President and CEO, Jean-Marc Eustache, also made a point of highlighting the colossal efforts made by our teams:

“I want to pay the sincerest tribute to our flight crews, who have remained at their posts in stressful and difficult conditions, flying our aircraft sometimes without regard for their personal safety. I can never say enough to express our gratitude, and the same goes for our commercial and administrative personnel who, each in their own job, made extraordinary efforts to successfully complete this unprecedented operation.”

We are continuing our work and will continue to make every effort to ensure the repatriation of all our clients by April 1.

If you are abroad and wish to return home, please visit our coronavirus page for full details of our repatriation operation: https://www.airtransat.com/e…/travel-information/coronavirus
