VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Canada’s biggest airline is experiencing a system outage tonight, with computer systems for passenger check-in and call centres down across the country.

Air Canada says this is impacting airport operations and call centres as well, so passengers can’t call the airline for help.

We’re experiencing a computer technical issue that is affecting our airport operations, check-in and customer call centres. We’re working to resolve this issue. We thank customers for their patience 10:20 PM – May 28, 2019

Vancouver Airport tweeted that it’s supporting the airline and asked passengers to monitor their website.

It’s not clear right now how many flights at YVR have been impacted, or how long the outage is expected to last. Air Canada passengers flying into Canada from the United States have also been reporting delays.
