Flair is also Canada’s greenest airline with the lowest carbon emissions per passenger

EDMONTON, Alberta, December 4, 2024 – Flair Airlines, Canada’s leader in reliable, affordable, and sustainable travel, achieved a 99.1% flight completion rate in November, yet again securing its position as Canada’s most reliable airline. This accomplishment highlights Flair’s dedication to delivering on its promises, even during challenging winter conditions.

“Reliability is at the core of everything we do,” said Maciej Wilk, Interim CEO of Flair Airlines. “Achieving a 99.1% completion rate in November, significantly higher than any of our competitors – showcases the strength of our team and our commitment to connecting passengers affordably and dependably, no matter the season.”

Flair’s completion rate of 99.1% outpaced all competitors, with Porter at 98.7%, Air Canada at 98.4%, and WestJet at 97.2%. Flair sets itself apart with bold transparency, being the only Canadian airline to publish detailed monthly operational reports. This commitment reflects Flair’s dedication to holding itself accountable and providing passengers with a clear picture of its performance.

“Our promise to passengers is simple: we will keep raising the bar,” added Wilk. “We’re committed to improving and delivering the best reliable, affordable travel experiences while transparently leading the way.”

In November, Flair launched Canada’s first On-Time Guarantee, offering passengers 18+ who book directly through flyflair.com a $60 e-voucher—beyond, but not in lieu of any compensation required by APPR standards. This initiative reflects Flair’s commitment to earning passengers’ trust and delivering exceptional service, even during disruptions.

Flair’s November’s on-time performance of 73.4%. For comparison, November saw WestJet at 73.9% on-time performance, Porter at 77.3%, and Air Canada leading at 81.4%.

“Well done, Air Canada,” said Wilk. “We are happy to see that our competitive pressure has helped you improve your own operations. While we’re still #1 for completion factor in Canada, positive pressure improves flying for all Canadians. Our team is working relentlessly to be #1 in both completion factor and on-time performance.”

In November, Flair transported 289,051 passengers with a strong 86.2% load factor, connecting Canadians to 35 destinations across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean. Winter travellers embraced sunny getaways to destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Kingston, and Orlando—all at prices designed to make travel accessible for more Canadians.

Flair also continues to lead in sustainability. November was one of its greenest months yet, with CO2 emissions of just 54.6 grams per kilometre per passenger—nearly 3 grams lower than the previous month. As Canadians increasingly prioritize reducing their carbon footprints while travelling, Flair remains the best choice for affordable, eco-conscious journeys.

Flair Airlines is redefining Canadian travel with transparency, accountability, and bold commitments to affordability and sustainability. As winter challenges persist, Flair remains focused on delivering dependable, accessible air travel and is looking ahead to an even stronger 2025.
